Apply to Join the Foundation Board
The arts in Simi Valley thrive because of community members who care deeply and are willing to step forward in support. We invite you to consider applying to serve on the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation Board and help sustain the programs and performances that enrich our community.
The City of Simi Valley is seeking individuals passionate about the arts to serve on the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation Board, the fundraising arm of the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center (CAC). Foundation Board Members play a key role in supporting the arts by helping fund vital programming that brings artistic, cultural, and educational experiences to our community.
The Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Of the 21-member Board, seven are appointed by the City Council.
Those with experience in non-profit fundraising, arts advocacy, finance, marketing, or community leadership are highly encouraged to apply. The open positions have terms beginning July 1, 2026, and ending on June 30, 2030. Foundation Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Cultural Arts Center.
The Foundation hosts fundraising events throughout the year, including the Spotlight Awards, which honors local artists, educators, volunteers, and patrons for their contributions to the arts community in Simi Valley, and the Hispanic Heritage Festival, a celebration of diverse communities and traditions. The Foundation also hosts special “Foundation Nights” during Mainstage productions at the CAC.
Applications to serve on the Foundation are available on the City’s website at www.simivalley.org/FoundationApp. The application deadline is 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026.
